Performs specialized computer numerical control (CNC) programming work for Structure Medical, LLC.
Writes programs for CNC machines that include proper methodology, tooling, cutting speeds and feeds
in order to generate quality parts in accordance with product specifications. Work is performed under
minimal supervision with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Position relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach by
using and interpreting policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED; technical certificate preferred; supplemented by three or more years’
experience programming and operating manual or CNC machines in a mid to heavy manufacturing
environment; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Interprets drawings and/ or solid part models to write programs for the CNC machines that
in accordance to product specifications
- Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine
requirements to maximize efficiency
- Creates set-up sheets based on tooling selection criteria
- Monitors and verifies the accuracy of each job’s initial set-up and final outcome
- Revises programs and documents based on engineering changes
- Maintains library of programs in the vault
- Responsible for process improvements and machine time reductions including tool and new
- Communicates with the department manager regarding upcoming and existing jobs on the floor
- Provides shop floor assistance with inspection methods, training on machines, machine alarms,
- Communicates with the Quality department to develop inspection methods, tool mapping, First

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of lathe and/or mill CNC controls, including multi-axis machine centers and ability to
- Knowledge of precision measuring equipment and the application of such instruments, including
- Detailed knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric
- Detailed knowledge of programming segments and corresponding operations
- Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars and inserts used on
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820 as it pertains to the job, on the
- Knowledge of basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication,
- Skilled in the use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Work, Outlook,
- Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently to achieve customer and
- Skilled in working independently and following through with assignments with minimal
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in English, both orally and in writing
