Position Overview: The Human Resources Generalist will oversee all aspects of human resources operations and compliance to ensure a productive and compliant workplace. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who excels in employee relations, compliance management, and administrative efficiency. You will collaborate with company leadership to manage policies, payroll, training, and other HR functions while supporting our team in delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration: Process and manage bi-weekly payroll with precision, ensuring accurate calculations and timely submissions.
- Compliance Oversight: Assign, schedule, and track completion of required compliance training, including harassment prevention, workplace safety, and other mandatory classes and readings.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including background checks, distribution of employee handbooks, and conducting orientation. Oversee offboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with company protocols.
- Policy and Handbook Management: Regularly update employee handbooks and HR policies to reflect current regulations and company practices.
- ACA & 401(k) Compliance: Manage Affordable Care Act (ACA) filings and ensure compliance with 401(k) reporting and documentation requirements.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, resolving issues professionally and fostering a positive work environment.
- Employment Documentation: Draft, distribute, and update employment contracts to align with legal and company standards.
- Training Coordination: Schedule and track mandatory trainings, professional development opportunities, and employee certifications.
- Recruiting and Onboarding: Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for open positions.
- Performance Management: Assist leadership in implementing performance management programs, including regular performance evaluations and feedback.
- Background Checks: Conduct pre-employment background checks to ensure compliance with hiring standards.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, benefits information, and HR documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, ensuring operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in HR, payroll, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ACA and 401(k) compliance requirements.
- Experience in property management or real estate is a plus but not required.
