Structured has an immediate opening in Seattle, Washington for a Senior Systems Engineer. This position is responsible for architecting complex solutions in the areas of storage, physical and virtual servers, data protection and archiving / replication. This position is also responsible for providing demonstrations and presentations, leading technical discussions, developing product customizations, planning, and executing customer proof of concepts, providing product training and support and leading rapid deployment efforts.
- Applicants must reside in Seattle, Washington and can be on-site at a customer location three to four days a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent experience or at least seven years’ experience in the data management industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be an experienced user of the Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) tool, such as Salesforce.com.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data. With the ability to correspond, effectively present information, respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, vendors and customers.

Work is performed in both a general office environment, as well as a data center environment. Within the general office environment both the lighting and temperature are generally moderate. The data center environment is generally cool in temperature and the lighting is moderate; the noise level in the data center environment is generally loud.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel to customer locations and other destinations for short to medium term projects. This position may also require an adjusted work schedule and evening hours in order to meet or attend vendor / customer needs. Flexibility to field phone calls, pager or system alerts and provide remote and / or on-site support to clients outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to be on site in Seattle at a customer’s location, three to four days per week.
