Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Installation Technician  to join our team. This role involves the installation of access control systems, alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and network devices for commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects efficiently while ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Installation and configuration of access control, security alarms, surveillance cameras, and network infrastructure .
  • Work on and sometimes lead installation teams on job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system installations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite, following safety and compliance guidelines.
  • Communicate with clients and project managers to ensure job expectations are met.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure all installations meet company and industry standards.
  • Travel weekly to job sites outside of Lexington, KY (overnight stays required).
  • Work occasional late hours as projects demand.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience installing and servicing access control, alarm, surveillance, and network systems in a commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding and proven experience with 12v and 24v access control systems and understanding of normally open / normally closed electronic locks.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring (CAT6 / CAT6A), networking, and security system integration .
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings .
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to our Lexington, KY office.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and any necessary certifications .
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a team.
  • Comfortable working at heights, lifting heavy equipment, and working in various environments.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certifications in HID, Lenel, Verkada, Genetec, Avigilon, Bosch, Honeywell, Ubiquiti, or similar systems .
  • Experience running conduit and structured cabling.
  • Knowledge of IT networking and IP-based security devices.
