Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fiber Optic Splicer, located in Birmingham, AL. The Fiber Optic Splicer will be responsible for splicing fiber optic cables, performing testing and troubleshooting activities, and ensuring proper installation and maintenance of fiber optic systems. Day-to-day tasks include working with various fiber optic tools and equipment, performing cable terminations, and collaborating with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Experience with Cables, Cabling,Structured Cabling, Fiber Optic Splicing
- Be able to splice multiple large size, strands,of fiber 24,48,96,144,288 and the ability to be able to midspan splice
- Knowledge of Electricity and Hand Tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Previous experience in telecommunications in Fiber Optic Splicing field is a must
