What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Foreman position at Structures, Inc?
With close to 25 years of National Commercial Construction experience, we are looking to expand our team and actively seeking an experienced union Foreman to lead a crew and ensure successful execution of complex projects. Structures has built a national reputation of providing exceptional Site Solutions by employing Value Engineered and Design/ Build concepts in Earth Retention and Segmental Pavement Systems for some of the largest and most complex projects in the United States.
Job Summary:
A Structures Foreman schedules, coordinates, supervises, and ensures the safety and productivity of crews on- site of specialty commercial construction projects. As a key participant in the relationship with the client, general contractor, subcontractor and vendors, the Foreman is the management liaison and client interface. The Foreman has experience in operating large equipment including skid steers, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, graders and using a variety of hand and power tools.
**This position is based out of Chaska, MN and requires extensive travel throughout the United States. Structures will make every effort to bring crew members home approximately every 3 weeks. Travel expenses of transportation and hotel accommodations paid by company with additional per diem incentive included**
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years experience as a qualified tradesperson who is familiar with other construction trades and crafts
- At least 5 years experience as a Foreman/ lead site person
- Preferred experience working with Earth Retention and Segmental Pavement Systems
- Completed OSHA 10 hour safety training and CPR/ First Aid certification
- Currently holds CDL Class A driver's license and required medical card or able to obtain within 90 days of employment
- At least 5 years experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment, including excavator, skid steer, wheel loader, forklift in different environments
- Proven ability to work independently and alongside a team of both Structures and other project members
- Safely lift, push, pull and carry heavy objects; walk and stand for long periods of time; work in a generally loud environment; and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field and weather conditions including extreme cold, heat and humidity, and exposure to Sun and dust
- Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the United States
