Production Scheduler KS

Overview

The Production Scheduler plans and establishes production schedules. This role coordinates actual production for several departments against scheduled production and alters to meet unforeseen conditions to ensure maximum use of available capacity for finished product and the need for materials and labor. Monitors materials inventories, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules.

Responsibilities

• Schedule production throughout various departments as assigned.
• Place materials orders in a timely and effective manner to support production plan.
• Maintain accuracy with cycle counts, production reporting, scrap reporting and material receiving systems control.
• Work closely with Production Supervisor’s to ensure product manufactured meets customer’s requirements.
• Enter daily production accurately.
• Post receipts of inventory and expense items daily.
• Schedule transportation for shipments to meet vendor and customer’s expectations.

Physical Demands :

Able to see, hear and speak; able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, craw, squat, kneel and climb; able to use both arms and hands to use a computer and peripherals and lift 40 pounds from floor level to overhead, able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms, able to wear respirator and other PPE as required, able to climb stairs. Regular use of safety glasses and shoes. Vision requirements : close vision.

Environment :

Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. Exposed to lead, fumes, chemicals, operating equipment, and vehicles. PPE may be required when on the manufacturing floor.

Travel :

Travel as required for training, meeting with regulatory agencies, and to other company sanctioned events.
