Overview
Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.
A Tool & Die Repair Technician is responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the manufacturing of parts and products. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work with various types of machinery and materials to ensure optimal functionality.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions• Tool & Die Fabrication: • Design, construct, and modify tools, dies, molds, and fixtures based on engineering drawings and specs• Operate and program lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair damaged or worn tools and dies to ensure optimal performance• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to reduce down time• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints • Measure and test completed tools and dies for accuracy and functionality using precision instruments (e.g. calipers, micrometers, and cmm machines)• Maintain inventory level of materials and tooling used• Maintain a CLEAN workplace
Other Responsibilities• TIG/Mig welding as needed• Performs other related tasks as required• Follows all safety rules, wears all required personal protective equipment and keeps work areas clean
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Certifications• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.• Qualified Journeyman Toolmaker or trade school with 5-10 years’ experience
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge• Demonstrated proficiency in the following areas:o Mechanical Maintenanceo Trouble shootingo Attention to detailo Pipingo Fabricationo Welding• Ability to use machine tools, knowledge of injection mold construction desired• Successfully complete a Forklift Driver Training Program• Successfully complete a Lockout/Tagout Training Program• Must be self-motivated and able to handle a large workload• Must be available for overtime
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:• Able to lift 50 lbs. frequently• Able to climb and work at heights
