CMM Programmer

• day Shift

• M-F, 8am-5pm

• $Salary: 60,000 - $75,000

• Direct Hire

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Program and operate Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) using PC DMIS software.

• Interpret internal and customer blueprints by applying GD&T principles.

• Manage weekly CMM schedule

• Ability to align and secure holding fixtures and gauges.

• Ability to create CMM programs from supplied CAD files

• Communicate CMM results and interpret data with internal engineering and quality staff on a daily basis.

• Calibrate and troubleshoot CMM equipment (Brown & Sharpe & Mitutoyo).

Secondary Functions:

• Communicates with staff regarding suspect measurement system methods and analysis.

• Prepares measurement system analysis reports as required.

• Performs general administrative duties as required.

• Ability to multitask in automotive environment

• Proficient in Microsoft applications

Specialized Training, Skills, Abilities, Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• 3 to 5 years experience and/or advanced CMM training with experience.

• Previous tier one automotive experience (familiarity with stamping products is desirable).

• Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills.

• Demonstrated competence in detailed drawing (blueprint) interpretation.

• Demonstrated competence in interpretation of geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

• Factory environment with noise from manufacturing equipment Exposure to dangerous equipment.

• Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.

• May be required to lift, carry, or a move object up to 50 lbs.
