Overview
STS Staffing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Avionics Technician to join our team located in Carrollton GA . In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems in aircraft. You will work with advanced technology and equipment to ensure the safety and functionality of avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, experience with power tools.
Responsibilities
- will work on the computers and cockpit instruments
- Checking for defects like loose connections and frayed wires
- Using test equipment to determine performance and airworthiness
- Replacing or repairing malfunctioning components
- Mounting equipment, connecting wiring, and configuring settings
- Ensuring proper alignment and calibration of installed or repaired equipment
- Maintaining records of maintenance and repair work
- Providing ground operation support for flight tests
- Coordinating work with engineers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Avionics Technician or similar role within the aviation industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including the use of ammeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with airframe structures and their integration with avionics systems.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively for installation and repairs.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in avionics or related fields are a plus.
