MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN IN FOOD PRODUCTION

$35-$38 HR (DOE)

Must be willing to Travel to Vermont for a minimum of 6 months - - Could be a long-term opportunity.
Forklift Experience is a PLUS
Per Diem $50 per day for each day of work
Travel/Flight, Hotel & Rental Car will be provided

Key Responsibilities include:
*Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and improving process and packing equipment to maximize production and maintain high standards in safety and quality.
* Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
*Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, ad PLCs on complex process and packaging equipment
* Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise
* Responsible for safety compliance personally and with equipment
*Review documentation for maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees(e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.) and properly utilize the maintenance inventory
*Train production employees as needed for set-ups, operation of all equipment, etc.
* Participate in project and/or rebuilds
*Responsible for food safety as well as meting all regulatory requirements
*Assist in day-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and charge overs
Requirements:
*High school diploma or vocational school diploma
*Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience, required
*Food manufacturing experience, preferred
*Vocational school, Industrial maintenance degree, technical collage training, satisfactory completion of formal apprentice program, preferred
*Ability to read and understand manuals, line diagrams, and schematics, required
*Ability to identify and analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, required'
