STS Staffing is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician for our client. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment used in industrial settings. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Repairs: Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, gears, belts, and electrical components.
- Installation: Assist with the installation of new equipment or machinery, ensuring proper setup and operation.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and calibration of machinery, to prevent future breakdowns and prolong equipment life.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs, inspections, and parts used, in compliance with company procedures.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operational flow.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns and provide on-call support when required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic tools, and machinery.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces or elevated locations.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and management.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
