About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Interior Technician for a contract-to-hire position. In this role, you will primarily focus on modifying, refurbishing, and reinstalling aircraft interiors. The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience and expertise in various technical aspects of interior installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed installations, modifications, and refurbishments of aircraft interiors
- Disassemble and reassemble aircraft seats and other cabin components as needed
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects efficiently and to specifications
- Maintain high safety and quality standards at all times
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of experience in aircraft upholstery
- Knowledge of materials and foams used in aviation
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Expertise in upholstery refurbishment techniques for high-quality results
- Familiarity with various seat styles typical in commercial and private aircraft
- Proficiency in disassembly and assembly of seating and other interior elements
- Experience in foam work, including cutting, shaping, and fitting for customized interiors
- Skilled in sewing techniques required for interior refurbishments and repairs
- Competence in installing dress covers to ensure a polished finish
