Aircraft Sheet Metal Technicians

STS Aviation Services is actively hiring experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Technicians to join its state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance facility in Melbourne, Florida. If you are passionate about aviation and skilled in heavy overhauls and modifications on commercial aircraft, we want to hear from you!

As an Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of aircraft through precision modifications and repairs. This position offers $36 per hour and opportunities to travel for customer AOG repairs when needed.

• Perform heavy overhauls and structural modifications on commercial aircraft.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and aircraft manuals to execute repairs and modifications accurately.
• Utilize your expertise in sheet metal structures to support various customer needs, including AOG repairs outside the local area.
• Pass a structural assessment test, including both written and hands-on components, to demonstrate your proficiency.

• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years performing heavy overhauls and structural modifications on commercial aircraft.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong background in structural modifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, aircraft manuals, and technical documents.
• Assessment: Must be able to pass a sheet metal structural assessment test, including both written and hands-on components.
• Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel to support customer AOG repairs outside the local area.
