STS Technical Services is actively seeking a Body Shop Painter to prepare vehicles for painting process, including taping, masking and sanding as well as minor body repairs. This is a direct hire position for an established trucking company. Our client understands the value of each and every employee. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sand and Prep panels for priming and painting
- Finish mask panels and trim for paint applications
- Perform minor body work and repairs
- Assemble and disassemble vehicles in preparation for repair and painting
- Assist in the maintenance of painting equipment and the body shop as a whole
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds.
- This is a physically demanding position
- Employee will stand 6-8 hours per day while bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint and cleaning solutions, as well as other hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Good Judgment
- Manual Dexterity
- Customer focused
- Experience in application of primers, single stage paint, base coat / clear coat
- Ability to tint and match colors
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to use hand and power tools
Educational Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
