STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled CDL Driver for an equipment solutions company that has been in business since 1946. The company operates a fleet of over 2,500 terminal tractors and trailers in major U.S. ports, and manufactures terminal tractors and trailers. The CDL Driver will be responsible for safely operating a tractor / trailer rated at 80,000 lbs. to transport materials and equipment, following all applicable laws, maintaining logs, and ensuring the protection of all property entrusted to them. This role requires a commitment to safety, customer service, and maintaining company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate the tractor / trailer safely at all times.
Maintain eligibility for work in compliance with DOT regulations, including random, routine, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
Perform Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and maintain a driver log according to federal regulations.
Load and unload equipment on the trailer, ensuring the load is properly secured.
Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
Comply with company policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Qualifications
Current Class A Driver’s License (without restrictions).
TWIC Card and Medical Card.
Hazmat certification is a plus.
Education and / or Experience
Two years of flatbed truck driving experience with the ability to safely operate a commercial tractor at all times.
Strong knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations.
