Position Overview
STS Technical Services is seeking a Non-Conforming Material Specialist (Day Shift) for a key position at our York, Pennsylvania location. This role involves reviewing and processing non-conforming materials, using SAP for transaction management and maintaining inventory levels. The candidate will need to be flexible, with the ability to shift to night shift hours if needed with notice.
Key Responsibilities :
Non-Conformance Processing : Review materials / parts for non-conforming defects, process and close non-conformance records using SAP.
SAP Transactions : Perform systematic transactions in SAP, creating purchase orders and managing inventory records.
Material Inspection & Inventory Management : Inspect materials for non-conformance, comparing against engineering drawings, and manage inventory levels on a daily basis.
Communication : Communicate non-conformance defects with suppliers and team members both on-site and via email.
Quality Control & Analysis : Utilize quality tools to analyze suspect conditions and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
Cross Shift Collaboration : Attend mandatory Tuesday cross-shift meeting at 5 : 40 AM; flexibility to work night shift (with notice) when needed.
Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols, wearing required PPE, including safety glasses and a provided safety vest (safety toe shoes not provided).
Requirements & Qualifications :
ERP Systems Experience : 3-6 months of experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office : Strong skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word are required.
Quality Experience : Previous quality control or quality assurance experience is preferred.
Inventory Management : Logistics experience or inventory control experience is preferred.
Engineering Prints : Ability to read and understand engineering prints is a plus.
Flexibility : Ability to work the day shift Monday through Thursday (6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM) with potential to switch to night shift (6 : 45 PM to 5 : 15 AM) as needed.
Safety Compliance : Must follow safety protocols and wear the required PPE.
Working Conditions :
Shift : Day Shift – Monday through Thursday, 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with mandatory Tuesday cross-shift meeting starting at 5 : 40 AM.
PPE : Safety glasses and safety vest provided; safety toe shoes not provided.
Overtime Opportunities : Available based on business needs.
