As a Surveyor/Scanner Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting field data collection using laser scanning technology to support various survey projects for client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing scanning and survey requirements for different disciplines and client needs.
- Capturing scanning data and converting it into a point cloud using terrestrial-based laser scanning equipment and software.
- Ensuring the highest quality of all collected scanning data.
- Managing the entire laser scanning process, from fieldwork to project completion.
- Independently handling and completing all field laser scanning assignments.
- Maintaining scanning equipment and promptly addressing any issues or maintenance needs with management.
- Coordinating with the laser scanning team and adapting to business needs as required.
- Participating in client-specific safety training and adhering to client requirements when on-site.
- Collaborating with the design team to support project needs.
Education, Experience, and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Education: Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Surveying Equipment Experience: Hands-on experience with Trimble, Nikon, and Sokkia survey instruments and data collectors.
Software Proficiency:
- Leica Geosystems: Cyclone, Register 360, CloudWorx, TruView.
- Autodesk: AutoCAD, ReCap, Navisworks, and Civil 3D.
Project Experience: Previous involvement in multi-discipline engineering projects, including structures, piping, equipment, and processes.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a design team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
