Position Overview : The Design Specialist is responsible for utilizing SolidWorks software to create and modify detailed design models and drawings for the MCM USV project. The specialist collaborates with naval architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop 3D models and 2D drawings that accurately represent the ship’s structure, equipment, and systems. They ensure that the designs meet industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements while optimizing for efficiency, functionality, and ease of manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize SolidWorks to create and modify detailed design models and drawings for the MCM USV project.
- Collaborate with naval architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Optimize designs for efficiency, functionality, and ease of manufacturing.
- Conduct design reviews and resolve design-related issues.
- Incorporate feedback from various stakeholders to refine and improve designs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SolidWorks tools and techniques.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and practices in shipbuilding.
