Substation Designer
About this role :
As a Substation Designer you will have a strong portfolio showcasing successful execution of large, complex projects, and have a proven track record in electrical engineering and design. Additionally, you will create and review detailed drawings, specification, and other technical documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and feasibility. You will be designing the physical layout and infrastructure of electrical substations and ensuring substations are designed to be safe, efficient, and capable of meeting the electrical demands of a given area while maintaining compliance with technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities :
- You’ll lead the design process on complex projects to ensure all design solutions meet client needs, quality standards, and project goals.
- You’ll prepare and review design documentation, create and review detailed drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and feasibility.
- You’ll maintain project documentation including scoping documents, design inputs, quality checklists, and project filing systems.
- You’ll oversee scope and quality review processes for your projects ensuring adherence to client specifications and high-quality standards.
- You’ll proactively monitor and resolve any technical issues or challenges throughout the project lifecycle while managing time effectively to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
