Job Description:
We are currently seeking full-time FIELD LAND SURVEYOR in Kansas City, MO. Our survey department is vital to assisting engineers on a wide array of projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional quality surveys that are on time
- Produce and deliver control, boundary, topography, ALTA, subdivisions, and construction surveying services.
- Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
- Strive to meet and exceed team and client expectations
- Build positive work relationships through proactive communication, commitment to service and the flexibility to address shifting priorities.
- prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, map records, and documents relating to surveys.
- Effectively interact with people of all technical skill levels through verbal and written communication.
- Maintain a high standard of quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred, but not required.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years progressive experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Intermediate to experienced level of expertise with all major technical aspects of surveying.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Access and Microsoft Office.
- Possess sound communication and writing skills.
- Possess positive organizational skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective time management skills
Physical Requirements
- Able to work approximately 95% of the time the field.
- When working outside, ability to stand for long periods, walk over all types of terrain while caring equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
