Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, following established protocols and guidelines.

Safely transport used vehicles, customer vehicles, and new vehicles to and from dealerships and offsite reconditioning facility.

Schedule maintenance for fleet trucks and trailers with Used Vehicle Service Manager.

Inspect the fleet for mechanical and safety issues daily.

Inspect vehicles prior to loading and unloading for any damage and record and report damage immediately.

Report accidents or violations immediately.

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions safely.

Ensure that all cargo is properly secured.

Work with Used Vehicle Director, Used Vehicle Service Manager, Sales Managers, and Service Managers to ensure loads are being delivered correctly and on schedule.

Plan routes to meet delivery schedule.

Plan the loading of the trailer to maximize capacity of every load prioritizing oldest units.

Always ensure fleet vehicles and trailers are clean and clean as needed.

Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving.

Fuel fleet trucks as needed.

Maintain fuel log receipts and toll receipts.

Comply with FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.

Deliver cars to and from dealerships by single unit drives when fleet vehicles and trailers are out of service.

Interact with customers, team, vendors in a friendly, positive, and professional manner at all times.

Minimum of 2 full deliveries in a regularly scheduled 8-hour workday.

Technical Knowledge:

Develop an in-depth understanding of automotive terminology and procedures to assist with efficiency and effectiveness.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with Team Members, other departments, staff to ensure the timely completion if needed.

Provide support during busy periods and need based items.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent

Willingness to work include from time-to-time non-typical work hours, weekends, or evenings, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License

Clean Motor Vehicle Driving History Record

Minimum 21 years old

Must be able to pass a DOT physical, meet all qualifications of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and pass background check.

Must be registered in Clearinghouse as required by FMCSR

Pay: $50,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
