Position Summary
Maintenance at Recreation facilities and waterways. Work includes campsite rehabilitation, on water work, use of manual and powered tools common to work involving landscaping, plumbing, equipment maintenance, irrigation repair and forest management.

May 12, 2025 - August 18, 2025
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operation of vehicles and trailers.
- Maintenance and repair on infrastructure associated with campground facilities to include buildings, docks, irrigation systems, fences, potable and wastewater systems.
- Modification of on water drift boom assemblies.
- Engage as a crew member to promote healthy group dynamics and promote effective and productive teamwork.
- Serve variable hours (long days and/or weekend), at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, in varying weather conditions, and under physically demanding circumstances.
- Serve with the same crew for the duration of the season.
Marginal Duties
Cleaning, painting, weekly rounds checks, shop and vehicle upkeep.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- 18 years of age or older
- Able to operate full size pickups.
- Able to walk and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Able to maintain moderate to heavy work activity for 10-hour shifts.
- Able to understand and implement basic maintenance activities with supervision until a competent skill level is achieved.
- Able to operate basic hand tools.
- Able to work independently and on a crew.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating boats, skid steers, towing trailers.
Hours
40 per week
Living Accommodations
None, employee must provide their own.
Compensation
- $350 weekly Living Allowance (Paid bi-weekly)
- $50 weekly Commuting Allowance (Paid bi-weekly)
- $1500 monthly Housing Allowance (Paid in four installments. Employees can work up to 14 weeks)
- Hot Weather SCA Uniform Package
All allowances are subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
Personal Vehicle Information
Recommended
Per USACE policy, candidate will not receive a to/from travel allowance but will receive a weekly commuting travel allowance instead
