As an Environmental Stewardship Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with conservation work, including trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and environmental education. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals and other volunteers to achieve project goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with conservation work, including trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and environmental education
* Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
* Help develop and implement educational programs and materials for diverse audiences
Requirements
* Must be 18 years old or older
* Ability to legally work in the US
* Ability to enroll in AmeriCorps Education Award Program
* Ability to pass SCA background check
* Must be able to attend Crew Member Training
* Full engagement in all work projects and community activities
Benefits
* $650 one-time round-trip travel allowance
* $300 weekly living allowance
* AmeriCorps eligibility (450-hour award, $1,956.35 education award)
* Meals provided during fieldwork
* Group camping gear, like tents, stoves, and filters, are provided
