What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager, Early Head Start Child Care Center position at Student Parenting and Family Services?
This is a full-time Program/Disabilities Manager position at an NAEYC-accredited and licensed child care center and Early Head Start program for infants and toddlers whose parents are adolescent parents attending high school. The program is located in renovated space inside Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven. This position is with a nonprofit organization; the individual hired to fill the position will not be a New Haven Public Schools employee.
The Program Manager’s responsibilities include:
1. Implement Early Head Start Performance Standards and EHS Home-Based and Center-Based Models
2. Monitor the implementation of experience plans, screenings, assessments, home visits, family conferences, and child files
3. Ensure the operations of direct service staff while maintaining ongoing verbal and written communication
4. Maintain monthly communications at Early Head Start and Office of Early Childhood meetings and quarterly partnership meetings
5. Complete necessary reports as required by CT Office of Early Childhood, State Department of Education, Early Head Start and NAEYC
6. Work directly with Board of Directors and program consultants to ensure quality of services
7. Conduct annual performance reviews
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree specific to an early childhood concentration, including infant/toddler care, OR comparable, including at least 12 credits in ECE;
- Identified in CT Charts-a-Course as meeting staff qualifications
- 2 years or more experience as a supervisor in an Early Head Start (EHS) setting
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) candidates are encouraged to apply.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,300.00 - $63,500.00 per year
