Title: Speech - Language Pathologist. CCC or CFY (SLP), .6 FTE
Position Summary:
This position requires a strong, independent SLP candidate to work with a range of students in specialized programs based on their IEP needs. Knowledge of a range of treatment approaches and assessment procedures is necessary. The candidate should ideally be comfortable working with different team members and facilitating communication among staff and families when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
*Provide direct and consultation services, using both push-in and pull-out models
*Conduct a variety of standardized and informal assessments, as appropriate
*Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and treatment plans that address speech, language and communication skill development
*Develop and maintain a consistent schedule that supports the implementation of students’ IEPs and/or documented treatment plans
*Prepare therapy materials such as visual boards, word walls, communication boards, and/or equipment for use in therapy activities
*Adapt or modify instructional materials and/or equipment as determined by student needs and abilities
*Facilitate small groups for students who are developing pragmatic skills
*Work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary educational team and general education classroom teachers
*Consult with families to facilitate skill carry-over in the home
*Complete required paperwork and job-related functions in a timely manner and in compliance with special education regulations and district policies
*Gather, collate, and/or classify data; generate reports and present findings at meetings, as appropriate
*Utilize a variety of job-related assistive technology
*Routinely attend district and SLP job-alike meetings, school-wide meetings, trainings, and professional development
Qualifications:
*Master’s degree and Clinical Certificate of Competence in area of SLP. Strong CFY candidates considered
*Licensed in Speech and Language by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education
Experience Preferred:
*3 years educational teaching environment preferred
*ABA knowledge and experience a plus
Additional Qualifications:
*Knowledge and experience with IEP procedures and planning
*Experience with students who are identified in multiple areas of disability.
Teachers' CBA Salary Range SY25/26: .6 of $57,756 - $135,872
