The Rockport Public School District serves approximately 650 PreK-12th grade students, 24% of which are identified as students with disabilities, on a two-building campus located in the picturesque coastal community of Rockport, MA which is 40 miles northeast of Boston at the tip of Cape Ann. The Rockport Public Schools is seeking a highly-skilled, dynamic District-Wide Special Education Facilitator. The Special Education Facilitator works collaboratively with the Director of Student Services and the School Principal to: (1) coordinate and facilitate mandated special education laws and procedures including chairing initial and three year team meetings; (2) foster collaboration between caregivers, students, and staff, regarding student assessment and programming; (3) improve understanding of inclusive education and student needs within the school community. They implement policies and practices as developed and agreed upon by the School Committee and/or the District Leadership Team. The Special Education Facilitator provides leadership to the school community consistent with the District’s mission, vision, and core values.
