JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Long Term Substitute School Psychologist
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Support Services
JOB GOAL: To develop and implement an educational program which meets the needs of all students in the school district and to create a caring, safe, positive learning environment, to assist the Student Support Services Team in providing support for students, staff, parents, and the community.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for working as a member of a collaborative team with the Director of Student Support Services, Assistant Director of Student Support Services, guidance counselors and special education teachers regarding activities and programming for the district’s students
- Responsible for conducting chapter 14 special education and chapter 15 504 plan evaluations and attending required meetings.
- Responsible for coordinating newly identified student placement meetings with all required parties.
- Responsible for coordinating assigned OT and PT referrals (i.e. paperwork and consulting with the therapists).
- Responsible for solving any issues with the Director of Student Support Services/Assistant Director of Student Support Services with parents on out-of-district placements.
- Responsible for attending assigned IEPs/GIEPs as necessary.
- Responsible for serving as district liaison with the Director of Student Support Services/Assistant Director of Student Support Services for related service providers within the school, including OT, PT, Speech, Vision and Hearing.
- Responsible for coordinating with the Director of Student Support Services/AssistantDirector of Student Support Services to compile information and materials for district residents including parent handbooks, child find, etc.
- Responsible for serving when assigned as a member of a team for Positive Behavior Support Plans for students.
- Responsible for consulting with the Director of Student Support Services/Assistant Director of Student Support Services with regular and special education staff regarding academic, behavioral and emotional issues of students with disabilities.
- Responsible for following-through and completing other responsibilities as requested by the Superintendent and Director of Student Support Services
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a Long Term Substitute School Psychologist position anticipated to be needed from Mid March 2025 - June 30, 2025. The rate is $160/day.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the
applicable policies of the South Fayette School District.
