General Description
A practicum or internship at one of our Adult Outpatient Programs (AOP) will provide valuable experience working with clients in an outpatient setting. These programs include our Wellness and Recovery Centers: Douglas Young WRC, South Bay Guidance WRC, Maria Sardinas WRC, Areta Crowell WRC and Heartland WRC.
Students will have the opportunity to conduct and to further hone their skills in psychosocial and mental health assessments, psychosocial rehabilitation, crisis interventions, group and individual behavioral health services, socialization and individual behavioral assessments.
Practicum/Internship Requirements
- Student must be enrolled in a related area of study at a state-recognized and sanctioned educational program during the entire period of this agreement to be eligible for this internship/practicum.
- The school currently has an active practicum/internship agreement with CRF.
- Student has completed all practicum/internship application requirements for this Outpatient Program.
- Attendance is required at the Program for scheduled hours, except for emergencies and pre-arranged absences.
- Attendance is also required for weekly individual and group supervision meetings, staff meetings, and all CRF required training.
