Students Motivated through the Arts (SMARTS) Summer Camp is now hiring part-time lead teachers. Applicants should be available Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm. Applicants must pass State and FBI background checks. 90 hour school-age child care certification is a plus, but not required. This position requires a mature, responsible, dependable person who is able to multi-task. The Lead Teacher is Responsible to Oversee the following Daily Activities:
- Supervise and monitor students during assigned summer camp hours including during extended care camp hours.
- Transport students to and from designated field trips using company vehicle.
- Creating and Coordinating age-appropriate student activities (arts & crafts, academic lessons, structured games).
- Ensuring the Summer Camp program is organized and operating efficiently.
- Attend staff meetings and in-service training as deemed necessary for the position.
- All other duties as assigned and appropriate by the Site Manager.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or better.
- Must enjoy working with school-age children.
- Must be dependable and a hard worker.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage and work closely with a wide range of staff members.
- Strong commitment to supporting SMARTS students and community.
- Able to pass State and FBI background checks for child care.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when necessary.
- Must Have A Valid Driver's License.
