We are seeking help with Marketing, Social Media, Events and Administrative Duties all in celebration of our beautiful San Antonio River. The San Antonio River Foundation (SARF) , the non - profit partner to the San Antonio River Authority, is looking for a talented college student to become the newest team member. An ideal candidate is interested in learning about the inspiring and multifaceted world of non - profits and shares our vision of stewardship of the San Antonio River Basin. SARF's ambitious projects range from creating opportunities for education, recreation, and interaction with nature along the river ; to initiating, funding, installing, and maintaining exciting urban art projects by renowned regional, national, and international artists. This will be a fantastic opportunity to work in your community and learn pieces of what it is like to work at a nature and community - based non - profit as well as execute multiple initiatives and events. What You'll Do :
- Create engaging and innovative content to share our mission across social media platforms.
- Design eye - catching visuals using Canva to communicate ideas effectively.
- Use your organizational skills to manage tasks and projects in Art, Ecology, Education & Recreation
- Write professional and compelling newsletters to various stakeholders.
- Provide excellent phone support by answering calls with clarity and professionalism.
- Take initiative in identifying challenges and crafting your own solutions.
- Educate the public about environmental stewardship
- Represent San Antonio River Foundation at public events such as Yoga, Farmer's Markets, Movie Festivals
What We're Looking For :

As a San Antonio River Foundation intern, you will gain experience that will allow you to have a lifelong impact in :
Development : Gain experience in donor management, including fundraising, crafting donor appeals, communication, and managing finances through the Bloomerang (CRM) platform. Conduct research on potential donors, strategic partners, markets, and industries. Prepare reports and presentations. Assist with mailing. Filing and special projects as needed. Review event materials and marketing efforts. Send thank you letters, receipts, and other donor notes.Communication, Marketing & Social Media : Assist staff with promoting events. Assist staff with tracking, formatting and archiving messages, reviews, and other media. Maintain and update the San Antonio River Foundation media sites. Assist in the production of advertisements, press releases, and p romotional materials using Canva and the Adobe Suite. Assist with event planning and management. Learn how to operate a DSLR camera and take photos of programs to share on social media.Art & Culture : Assist in planning, promotion, and execution of art programs and events. Documentation of permanent and temporary public art projects, programs, and events; recording / inputting data. Assist with the development of written information about public art projects, programs and events for website and promotion.Education : (including volunteerism) Assist with tours, school field trips and free community programs including the outdoor cinema series, festivals, and workshops. Attend and help with volunteer events such as river cleanups, habitat restoration, and invasive species removals.Recreation : Attend Sunday Yoga with Mobile Om and other river recreation events to promote SARF and our mission to the community.Non - Profit Leadership : Learn the unique nature of 501(c)(3) organizations. How the tax designation affects fund raising, timing of asks, and long - term planning. See the importance brand and mission awareness play in non - profit success. Help with strategic planning for upcoming fall giving campaigns such as Big Give and Annual Appeal.Event Facilitator and Reservations : Be onsite for art & culture events and / or rental of Confluence Park. Learn to organize, advance, facilitate and follow up after events to create partnerships and connections of art and science organizations throughout San Antonio.Technology you will gain experience in :
