Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms and common areas, as well as managing laundry services including washing, drying, and folding linens and garments. Your commitment to providing exceptional service will contribute to an inviting atmosphere for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Launder linens, towels, and other items using appropriate washing and drying techniques.
- Ensure all laundry is sorted correctly by color and fabric type before washing.
- Handle dry cleaning requests with care and attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness in laundry areas and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist in the organization of storage areas for cleaning supplies and laundry items.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
