What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Director position at Studio City Rehabilitation Center?
We are seeking an Experienced Activities Director to Join our Team! The ideal Activities Director must be experienced in planning, coordinating, conducting and implementing a therapeutic activity program to meet both group and individual patient’s needs and interests. Including Providing a clean, safe, dignified, happy and healthy environment for residents. This will primarily include serving an active role in planning and participating in outside activities, assists with monthly resident council meetings, adapts recreation programs and regulates content of programs to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents and the facility, directs and organizes activities to assist residents to develop interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, and to develop confidence needed to participate in-group activities.

Activities Director Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Activity Director required (at least 1 year)
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster shot(s)
- Valid CPR/BLS Certification
- Previous experience in a skilled-nursing/long-term care setting
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Primary Activities Director Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains an effective room visit program, with documentation as needed
- Maintains a room visit cart with a wide range of activity equipment and supplies
- Assures facility reflects appropriate monthly, seasonal, and holiday events by providing decorations, newsletters, calendars, announcements, etc. to promote the residents' quality of life. Set up and removal of such items must be done in a timely manner
- Assigns activities and document on MDS's, care plans, and quarterly notes, in preparation for Resident Care Plan conference reviews
- Interviews and evaluates each resident, as well as family, friends, or responsible party, to determine his/her background, interests, abilities, physical limitations and needs for the purpose of planning and implementing a meaningful program
- Other duties may be assisgned
Pay Scale:
Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
