The Role

As our Payments Compliance Associate, you will be responsible for supporting various credit and risk functions related to B2B Payment Processing. This includes executing risk processes that exist in the first line, such as risk identification, risk assessment, risk and control evaluation, resolution of issues and incidents, and risk reporting. This role is also responsible for interfacing with support and leadership to understand and apply risk frameworks and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be interacting with customers via email, chat, and phone. You should also have strong technical skills and knowledge of software troubleshooting, with a proficient understanding of Studio Designer to diagnose and solve technical issues quickly and effectively.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with customers regarding risk-related documentation and transaction specific backup and inquiries.
  • Support and coordinate with the new customer onboarding teams to ensure a seamless underwriting process including customer outreach, documentation collection, and demonstration of the systems.
  • Complete new customer understanding checklists for Know Your Business (KYB) and Know your Customer (KYC) requirements and activate new merchants with appropriate credit limits and funding timelines.
  • Assist in creating and executing policies for periodic portfolio assessments to ensure that approved accounts representing the highest risk are still creditworthy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues by proactively bringing forward customer friction points and continuous improvement ideas.
  • Keep up to date with product, industry, and regulatory knowledge and changes to ensure accurate support and troubleshooting.



What You'll Need

  • Relevant working experience (2 years) within finance, banking, or administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with other teams, departments, and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Have a high level of self-motivation, where you are always looking for ways to improve and make our processes more efficient.
  • Eagerness to work in an innovative technology company within the financial and SaaS sectors.

Base pay range

$25—$25 USD
