Studio MLM is a rapidly growing design agency with a multidisciplinary team of designers, strategists, developers and more. Our main office is located in Menomonie, Wi; This is roughly 1 hr. from the MSP airport.

The Role

We’re looking for a Lead Designer to take on the design and management responsibilities of one of our largest clients. In this role (hybrid preferred), you’ll work with current leadership through a multi-month transition period to take the lead on all client projects, ensuring seamless execution, collaboration, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Execution: Lead, execute and deliver top-notch graphic design, branding, packaging, and digital/web projects.
• Project Management: Oversee multiple projects & project disciplines simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
• Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of day-to-day contact for the client, fostering strong relationships and clear project communication.
• Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams to delegate tasks and ensure projects meet the highest standards.
• Leadership: Mentor junior designers, supporting their growth and maintaining Studio MLM’s design standards.
• Strategic Thinking: Offer insights to improve workflows, project execution, and client satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

• 5-7 years of experience in graphic design, digital/web design, branding, packaging design and related design fields.
• Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple projects & project disciplines at once.
• Ability to lead projects from initial PM all the way through production execution.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other design tools.
• Experience with web design (understanding of development and experience with WordPress and Shopify is a major plus).
• A collaborative team player who can take the lead on complex projects across a variety of skillsets and design disciplines and deliver results.
