Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in hair cutting and styling techniques, along with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barber at Studio XO, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while delivering high-quality grooming services that enhance the client experience. This is a W-2 full-time employment opportunity with commission-based earnings.

Responsibilities

• Perform haircuts, shaves, and beard trims using various techniques, including straight razor methods.

• Provide hair styling services tailored to individual client preferences.

• Consult with clients to understand their grooming needs and recommend appropriate styles and treatments.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and equipment.

• Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client records.

• Promote and sell hair care products to enhance client satisfaction and shop revenue.

• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, grooming techniques, and industry best practices.

• Mentor junior staff members and assist in their professional development when necessary.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Barber License (Required)

• 1 year of experience in barbering or men’s grooming

• Proficient in hair cutting, styling, and grooming techniques

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs

• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment while adhering to health regulations

Additional Skills (Preferred, but not required)

• Existing book of business is a plus

• 3 years of experience in barbering
