Washington D.C. Metro, Part-Time, Apprentice Piercer

Want to get paid to become an ear piercer at Studs? Apprentices undergo a minimum 6-week paid piercing training program inclusive of classroom style learning, observation, and hands-on training. We are looking for Apprentices to join our training program that will kickoff in February in our NYC studios. Upon successful completion of the program, you will become eligible for a Washington DC Metro Part-Time Associate Piercer position, supporting our Georgetown and Union studios.

Hourly Rate:

• Graduated apprentices become Associate Piercers and make $31.25/hour, plus tips for their first 6-months post program
• After 6-months, you become a Piercer and make $33.65 - $35.65/hour, plus tips
• During the 6-week training program, apprentices make $17.50/hour, plus tips

Training Dates:

• February 24th - April 6th in NYC
  
  

Requirements:

• 3 years of relevant work experience, including at least two years as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist (performing venipunctures and/or finger sticks
• 18-29 hours per week, with required availability from Friday-Sunday
• Travel to NYC for the duration of the training program: 3/2/25-4/6/25 (paid by Studs)
• Must be able to stand for 8 hour shifts
• Must pierce a minimum 18 appointments a day
• Must be able to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings
• Must be able to deliver piercings with a steady hand
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs
• Must be able to handle chemicals safely
