The West Coast Piercing Educator will report to the Sr. Piercing Educator and be responsible for developing and administering training in support of our apprentice and continued education programs. You will help develop best-in-class Piercers and knowledgeable Earbar team members in order to achieve our business goals. In addition, you will pierce out of our Studios, as needed. You will be home-based out of our Orange County or Topanga studios.
Salary: $125,000-130,000, plus equity

- Embodies our performance-oriented culture by meeting and exceeding expectations and targets, including achieving cohort goals
- Serves as an inspirational leader by modeling strong service and selling behavior at all times in the Studio
- Executes Apprentice cohort training effectively and on schedule to ensure timely graduation of new piercers to studios
- Creates training materials for Studs' Apprentices to enhance behaviors and best practices in Studio
- Ensures highest standard of service making clients feel confident in Studs' Apprentices skill
- Identifies and escalates client feedback to improve the overall piercing experience to the VP of Retail and other cross functional partners
Optimizes Work Processes
- Identifies opportunities to continue to improve the Apprenticeship Program including training and content
- Pierces in Studio to evaluate and optimize Studs' piercing operating procedures and practices
- Supports piercing coverage gaps, as needed
- Protects the piercing experience to ensure overall safety and satisfaction for the Piercing Team and the clients
- Balances analysis, experience, and integrity when making decisions for the overall business
- Expertly knowledgeable of key piercing operating procedures and regulations across allocated Studios and partners with Compliance to ensure they are met.
Builds and Develops Effective TeamsPartners directly with allocated RM to support your region's Piercers by providing performance management support and continued education training
- Empowers Sr. Piercer via training and coaching to deliver mentorship and continued education in their market
- Leads recruiting of top piercing talent and ensures successful onboarding and continued development of Apprentices
- Participates in a monthly meeting with the Senior Piercer population
- Trains and coaches to Studio compliance and is accountable to company policies and standard operating procedures
- Admits mistakes and is not afraid to escalate when help is needed
- Is a Culture Champion for the brand and lives out our Core Values
- Fosters connection and trust through diversity and inclusion for all Studio teams
- Provides prompt coaching and feedback with clear actionables to navigate the performance of all piercers
- 18 months of piercing experience (not including Studs apprenticeship), with 6 months in a Studs Senior Piercer role.
- Ability to work full-time with open availability to support the needs of a high growth emerging brand
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
- 50% travel required
