StudyMetrix Research, an outpatient research center, located in St. Peters, is seeking a Research Practice Nurse. Responsibilities include all aspects of research study conduction. Pleasant phone disposition to recruit and screen patients for eligibility of active clinical trials, schedule and execute study visits and perform study procedures; Collect, record and maintain research subject study data according to study protocol and SOPs, preserving quality control for content, accuracy and completeness. Educate potential research patients on the purpose of the study, procedures, and protocol issues such as timelines for visits. Perform a variety of clinical research procedures including but not limited to ECG, IV infusions, phlebotomy, vital signs, drug mixing and dose verification. Handle lab testing and analysis, including preparation of specimen collection tubes and lab logistics; Monitor subject safety and report adverse reactions to appropriate medical personnel; Correspond with research subjects and troubleshoot study-related questions or issues
Requirements: Current RN, or LPN license, or EMT in state of Missouri, IV infusion skills, phlebotomy, Knowledge of medical terminology, Skilled in using MS Windows and Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent people skills. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, clients and coworkers.
This is a Monday – Friday schedule. Limited travel.
