Job Summary: The Team Member plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the overall success of a fast casual breakfast restaurant. This role is responsible for customer interactions, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, food preparation, adherence to food safety handling, operating the cash register, and working across all positions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
o Follow our “Steps of Service” defined in the Training Manual
o Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
o Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
o Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
2. Restaurant Cleanliness:
o Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas, including prep, dining, kitchen, and restrooms.
o Follow cleaning schedules and sanitation guidelines to uphold restaurant standards.
o Assist with dishwashing, trash disposal, restroom maintenance, and general upkeep.
o Utilize the weekly cleaning audit to guide efforts during downtime.
3. Food Preparation:
o Assist in preparing menu items according to standardized recipes and portioning guidelines.
o Ensure ingredients are fresh and stored properly.
o Follow cooking procedures to deliver consistent food quality and create beautiful food.
4. Food Safety & Handling:
o Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe dining experience.
o Follow proper hygiene, allergen awareness, and food handling procedures.
o Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
5. Cash Register Operations:
o Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register.
o Follow policy for counting cash back to customers to ensure accurate cash balance.
o Handle cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions securely.
o Maintain a balanced cash drawer and report any discrepancies using the proper channels.
6. Operational Support:
o Work across all restaurant positions as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
o Assist with putting away vendor orders
o Ensure product rotation, stock rotation, and report items in need of replenishment.
o Follow directions from supervisors and collaborate with team members.
7. Conflict Resolution and Chain of Command:
o Encourage respectful discussions and clarify issues.
o Address conflicts early, remain objective, and self-advocate.
o Maintain behavioral standards and a respectful work culture.
o Resolve minor concerns at lower levels, escalate serious issues appropriately.
o Adhere to the chain-of-command and enforce structured reporting.
o Report injuries via the injury log (with photographs), fill out any associated paperwork
o Know emergency protocols for leaks, fire, robbery, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
