What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Attendant position at Stumpy's Lakeside Grill?
“Stumpy's Lakeside Grill” is a self-serve, fast paced restaurant and marina located on Lake Granbury in Granbury TX. Our facility features a restaurant, bar, bakery, boutique, ship store, kayak sales, gas station, boat rental service, and boat slip leasing. We currently offer seasonal (full time, and part time) positions in almost every area of service with opportunity for advancement.
Job Description
· Early morning and afternoon shifts starting as early as 8 AM
· Assist Marina Members
· Assist customers with rental reservations. We rent boats, Seadoos, and Kayaks.
· Answer phone.
o Assist with rental reservations
o Answer basic questions (ie. Hours of operation, rental requirements, etc.)
· Assist with Kayak Sales
· Computer and POS (Point of Sale)
o Operate register. Cash, CC, and check transactions
· Lake Rentals
o Uncover, wash, and stock rental fleet
o Demo and drive rental boats ensuring customers are able to operate safely and correctly (18 years or older to drive customers)
o Checking in/out of boat rentals
o Fitting life vests
o Review rental/safety check lists
o Review safety guidelines and current boating safety laws
o Refill with gas at the gas dock
o Re-cover and wash rental fleet at end of the day
o Assist with minor Rental repairs and replacement parts
· Property Maintnence/Clean up
o Wash docks – use of a pressure washer may be necessary
o Sweep parking lot
o Pick up shoreline
o Clean cob webs
o Empty/change trash cans
· Rental Center upkeep
o Sweep inside/outside daily
o Empty/change trash cans
o Clean/organize counter
o Organize and file documents
o Mop floors
o Clean windows and doors.
· Fuel Dock
o Refuel lake vessels.
o Bag, stock, and sell ice
o Keep dock neat and tidy, recoiling docklines, changing trash
· Holidays/Mondays
o While the restaurant is closed most Mondays, we do operate our boat rentals
o Holiday weekends may require 75% or more of marina staff be available

Requirements
· TX Boaters Safety course (16 to drive boats at marina, 18 to drive boats with customers or leave marina)
· Preferred experience driving, docking, or otherwise operating a boat.
· Applicants must be personable, professional and well mannered. You will be interacting with a lot of customers and need to be friendly and approachable. We want you to have fun with your job, but always remember to be professional!
