Summary:
Under the immediate supervision of the assistant branch manager has the responsibility for the daily operation of the teller function and provides leadership to the tellers in the assigned office. Following established policies and procedures, performs all teller functions, as well as other duties requiring additional knowledge and experience, such as opening accounts and consumer loans, processing clerical work through the area and assisting tellers with complex balancing and other work-related problems. Also inspires and coaches teller staff to actively participate in the Bank’s sales culture.
Education, Skills and Experience Required:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years experience as a teller preferably in this bank to have gained thorough knowledge of the teller function.
- Should possess some supervisory and leadership ability and be able to coordinate operations within the office to ensure uniform operational procedures and sufficient personal stature to inspire confidence in the Bank with staff and the community.
- Capability to relate to and empathize with other people and to maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor throughout the day.
- Thorough knowledge of an on-line teller terminal.
- Familiarity with other standard office equipment, such as calculator, copier, typewriter, and check scanner.
