About the Role
Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the estimating process for various electrical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer operating budgets, staffing, work assignments, salary, and performance reviews.
- Support and administer all department standards and procedures.
- Review and approve estimate packages.
- Coordinate with the procurement manager and division manager for project selection.
Essential Functions:
- Take on leadership functions within the estimating department.
- Create and maintain relationships with clients.
- Work with operations and procurement groups to define prime costs for bid opportunities.
- Prepare flight boards and ensure timely completion of estimates.
- Update and maintain the company's Accubid estimating system, database, and assemblies.
- Develop and maintain cost data, including labor and equipment rates, installation methods, and production rates.
- Possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Lead or Senior Level Estimator with 10 years of experience in the construction industry. A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
