Position Overview:
As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a steady supply of clean items for the kitchen staff, while adhering to health and safety guidelines. You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Washing and Sanitizing: Load, operate, and unload the dishwasher while ensuring that dishes, utensils, pots, and pans are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
2. Sorting and Storing: Sort and stack dishes, glasses, and silverware in designated areas, ensuring they are properly stored and ready for use by the kitchen staff.
3. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the dishwasher and other equipment by regularly cleaning and performing routine maintenance tasks.
4. Kitchen Support: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down countertops, and removing garbage and recycling.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth flow of dishes, providing support during peak hours and assisting with other tasks as needed.
6. Adherence to Safety Regulations: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals, using protective equipment, and maintaining cleanliness standards to prevent cross-contamination.
7. Inventory Control: Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies, notifying the appropriate personnel when restocking is needed.
Qualifications:
1. Avaliability: Must be available on Fridays and Sundays. ***
2. Experience: Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not always required.
3. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
