Stutz Driveway Sealing has an exciting Operations Assistant opportunity that pays $40,000 to $50,000 per year, based on experience, and the majority of your work is done April through October with minimal work during the winter.
We have been sealing asphalt pavement in Fairfield County since the early 1970s. We complete a very large number of jobs per year and are looking for someone to help with the increased workload that comes with a growing company. The business is seasonal, and the hours for this position are 50-60 hours per week during the season (April to October) and approximately 5 hours per week when the company closes during the offseason (November to March). This is a salaried position, and your pay will be consistent throughout season and offseason.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in an administrative or equivalent role using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. This position relies heavily on computer and phone work, so you will need to have proficiency with working on the computer and telephone to be successful in this role. Previous sealing or paving industry experience not required.
- Commitment to the longer working hours during the season by showing up to work on time every day, maintaining productivity and energy level throughout the day, and requesting days off during the season only in emergency situations.
Responsibilities:
You will be a member of the office team, with primary responsibility to assist management with phone and computer work. This includes responding to customer inquiries and helping to plan and schedule our crews' work, among other general office tasks.
