What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Resources/Drainage Engineering Specialist position at STV Group?
STV is currently seeking a Civil/Water Resources Drainage Engineering Specialist for our Transportation & Infrastructure division in our Jacksonville, FL office. This position provides an opportunity to work on a variety of public projects with a focus on transportation design.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing Stormwater Management designs, calculations, plans, and reports for Transportation Infrastructure.
- Coordinating roadway drainage with various Roadway/Structures Design Groups.
- Environmental Permitting through various state and federal entities.
- Opportunities to play a role in project development with both existing and new clients.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of drainage engineering experience.
- Engineer Intern (EI) Certification.
- Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project experience.
- Knowledge of roadway drainage systems, highway culverts, storm water management facilities, and floodplain modeling.
- Experience with storm water and CAD software such as Bentley ORD, ICPR/StormWise, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and ASAD.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn.
- Experience with developing FDOT Bridge Hydraulic Reports is preferred but not required.
Compensation Range:
$58,672.52 - $78,230.03
