What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Interior Designer position at STV Incorporated?
STV is seeking as Senior Interior Designer for our Boston, MA location.
Essential Functions
- Defines design or project elements and processes required to meet client needs, along with participating in and coordinating estimates and proposal / bid preparations. Helps ensure performance to contracts through shared planning and monitoring of work orders and deliverables with engineering, construction, and various other disciplines
- Plans and develops design projects concerning unique and / or controversial complexities that significantly impact major company programs, including exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods.
- Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project. Coordinates with project management, architects, other designers, and leadership on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
- Reviews junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provides technical guidance to other professionals and technicians. May lead a multidisciplinary team to complete projects
- Performs quality control reviews and ensure achievement of key milestones. Performs field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects to ensure projects adhere to architectural plans.
- May supervise direct reports, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, development conversations, and productivity management.
- Performs all other duties as assigned and within scope of practice
- Highly organized and motivated, and capable of working on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of commercial office furniture systems and standards, and experience with 3D modeling software for conceptual planning and predesign studies is highly desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical skills and creative vision are required.
- The ability to work with a broad range of institution clients and develop positive client relations is required.
- The ability to partner closely with colleagues in a collaborative team environment and have a proactive approach to the definition and production of work products is essential.
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

63,986.16 - $85,314.88
