STV is looking for a talented Senior Graphic Designer to support our Virginia Operation. This role supports the Creative Division in delivering work that engages, informs, and inspires. Collaborating across multiple teams and clients, the Senior Graphic Designer takes a strategic approach to design, converting ideas into deliverables that connect. We’re looking for a candidate able to reinforce STV’s reputation of expertise by effectively translating technical information into visual experiences that resonate with a wide variety of audiences, while working across both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of current design software, possess a thorough understanding of design industry best practices, and be skilled in every step of the creative process, from concept to final deliverable.

Responsibilities of this position include…
Project Support
- Provide strategic, creative solutions to project communications challenges.
- Assist in guiding creative strategy via the development of high-level visual concepts that engage with the public in an equitable and accessible manner.
- Support projects through conceptualization, development, and execution, with a focus on effectively executing project deliverables in an innovative and engaging manner.
- Collaborate with program leadership, project managers, subject matter experts, and our Creative Division to support project goals and creative strategies.
- Translate complex technical information into compelling visual narratives for communication to diverse audiences.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of project and client brand assets across project communication channels and materials.
- Support project teams and Creative Division leadership in the design of a wide range of creative assets, including branding, marketing, advertising, digital media, public relations, and communications materials.
- Coordinate with external creative agents, i.e., photographers, printers, freelancers, web developers, etc. in support of project tasks and initiatives.
- In collaboration with the Creative Director and other leadership, work to establish and guide creative strategy for a wide variety of projects and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or the equivalent.
- 5 years of relevant professional experience. (8 or more preferred)
- Robust design portfolio demonstrating ability to work across a wide variety of styles and mediums.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
- Experience working within the creative process from inception to delivery.
- Willingness to execute and deliver project work in collaboration with a growing Creative Division.
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, project managers, clients, and technical experts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- While not required, architecture, engineering, or related industry experience is a plus.
- While not required, agency experience is a plus.
