We are seeking an organized, hard working, attentive, and humble person who is ready and willing to learn to be part of a team. We are looking for a person with experience producing vinyl, but are willing to teach the skills as well. Weeding, handling transfer tape, and applying basic logos to various surfaces is a welcomed set of skills. As a Vinyl Wrap Shop Technician, and assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to vinyl lettering, signs, vehicle wraps and custom vehicle graphics. We have a small shop but we handle a lot of volume. If you are meticulous and super organized, we could use your help.
Duties
- Keeping the shop clean and neat
- Working outside from time to time
- Cleaning and preparation of the vehicles
- Shipping of orders
- Operating large format digital printer
- Vinyl preparation: Printing, weeding, and applying transfer tape for vinyl graphics installation
- Usage of a tape measure, a ruler, and a retractable blade
- Helping with keeping a schedule
- Answering of the phones
- Using power tools
- Taking vehicles apart would be nice.
Experience that could be a plus:
- Previous experience in sign/vinyl shops is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicles and body work
- Proficient in using hand tools and other equipment necessary
- Experience with auto painting, detailing, and restoration
- Graphic Design / Digital Art background
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
