Our Sales Trainee Program provides hands-on sales and product training to prepare an enthusiastic and dedicated person with the selling and relationship building skills necessary to excel in a sales career at Style Crest.
The first step in our training program is to introduce you to our business. You will learn about our extensive product offering as well as the services we provide to our customers that set us apart from the competition. You will spend a great deal of time in the field being mentored by some of the best sales people in the industry. Through this process, you will gain an understanding of our customers, our products, our delivery service platform, our selling processes and our commitment to exceptional service. Over the course of this training and development program, a sales trainee is given actual hands-on sales opportunities to develop and demonstrate their selling skills while gaining a full understanding of the expectations and rewards of being Territory Sales Manager at Style Crest. Your commitment and motivation to excel in our sales trainee program along with your willingness to relocate will allow you to advance into a Territory Sales Manager role with Style Crest.
As a Sales Trainee, you will be responsible for successfully completing the following key activities:
- Prepares a weekly schedule and a monthly sales initiative plan for your assigned area with your sales mentor. Works with sales mentor and inside sales to meet or exceed these goals.
- Executes on the sales plan by making daily calls in person to customers and prospects to introduce products and/or services that will help them grow their business.
- Builds positive internal and external working relationships.
- Masters our selling process and develops a selling style that works well in our industry.
- Demonstrates success in prospecting and converting these prospects to new business.
- Gathers data during customer and prospect visits about their business, opportunities, challenges and competitive information. Enters this information into CRM.
- Assists your sales mentor with customer events and training, resolving issues in the field and setting up new buying accounts and/or contractors.
- Visits contractors who use/install our products (or competitors) to teach them about the benefits of our products and the ease of installation.
- Proactively engages internal resources to learn our product and service offering focusing on the features and benefits as well as what competition is in the market.
- Works with sales mentor to improve selling, negotiating, presentation and communication skills. Completes assigned training by the established deadlines and demonstrates progress in mastering these skills in the field.
- Debriefs weekly with sales mentor on successes or challenges when executing sales plan. Tracks progress of sales initiatives, discusses opportunities and asks questions of sales mentor to ensure success.
The requirements for our Sales Trainee Program include the following:
- At least one year of sales experience with face-to-face customer interaction is a plus.
- A high school diploma/GED. A degree in a sales or business-related field is preferred.
- Must be outgoing, proactive, enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer focused.
- Must have a selling personality and a passion for a sales career.
- Ability to build positive working relationships internally and with customers.
- Demonstrate the ability to approaching and speaking to customers and prospects.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be willing to travel overnight several nights a week.
- Ability to quickly learn our products and services.
- Ability to learn and be proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM and other sales tools.
- Must be capable of representing the company in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, team environment where you manage multiple priorities at the same time.
- Strong organizational, time management and follow up skills.
- An analytical and detailed person who can solve problems.
- Demonstrates success in prospecting and converting new business.
- Must be willing to relocate for a future sales opportunity.
